We work to make life better for the 40,000+ people in Ireland with Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis and other forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). We provide a range of information and support services, raises awareness of Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis through our awareness campaigns, and by working in close partnership with healthcare professionals. Crohn’s and Colitis Ireland brings together people of all ages who have been diagnosed with IBD, their families and the health professionals involved in their care. We welcome support from anyone who would like to help us in our work, whether as a member, volunteer or by raising funds. Our Mission is - To improve the quality of life and well-being of those living with and impacted by IBD, through sensitive support services, including advocacy, the provision of information, training and events. What we do: • Provide membership/'no waiting' card • Information leaflets • Peer Support - Telephone - One-to-one - Signpost to other services • Quarterly Newsletter • Gutcast: The first podcast for people living with IBD in Ireland • Support meetings - bringing people together • Provide practical advice • Support Beaumont Hospital Better Health, Better Living self-management programme (Stanford) • Support UCD School of Medicine Patient Educator Programme
