The Basic Education Coalition is a group of 30 organizations that firmly believe every person, regardless of socioeconomic level, gender, religion or nationality deserves the right to a quality basic education. Member organizations work on the ground, in some of the world's most dangerous places, delivering education programs to those most in need. Through education, children and youth build the skills necessary to break the cycle of poverty, create healthier communities and stabilize societies. The Coalition is an independent, non-profit advocacy organization that serves as a neutral space for organizations to come together, learn and advocate for greater support for basic education. With extensive technical expertise and experience, BEC members speak for the most disadvantaged and advocate for global change.
