The Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America is the national trade association for the distribution tier of the wine and spirits industry. Founded in 1943, WSWA is headquartered in Washington, D.C., with more than 366 corporate members in 50 states and the District of Columbia. The industry generates more than $55 billion in tax revenue for federal, state and local governments each year—wholesalers are a major economic engine. WSWA membership represents 80% of all wines and spirits sold at wholesale in the United States.
