The OPCC (Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner) is the strategic oversight body that sets the direction and budget for Hertfordshire Constabulary on behalf of the elected Police and Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire, David Lloyd. It is independent of Hertfordshire Constabulary. The office supports PCC David Lloyd in: - Seeking the public’s views on policing and community safety decisions - Developing and publishing the Police and Crime Plan for Hertfordshire - Keeping the public up-to-date and informed about decisions and the PCC's work - Monitoring and scrutinising the performance of the Chief Constable and Hertfordshire Constabulary - Publishing easy-to-access and transparent information about decisions, budgets, performance and governance - Working with partners to co-ordinate community safety and crime prevention activities - Commissioning support services for victims of crime
