Knowledge transfer at the university is the process of transferring knowledge and technology created in publicly funded institutions to actors of industry and business, thus ensuring the development and utilization of research results, which results in scientific and technological developments reaching larger segments of society. The Technology and Transfer Office (TTO) at the University of Debrecen is responsible for promoting the utilization of innovative research results and performing all related activities. TKTO provides wide-range innovation services for the leadership, researchers, students and partners of the university. Our vision is to support research, development and innovation at the University of Debrecen, morever, turning innovation into successful commercial products for society’s use and benefit. Our primary activities: - Promoting the research development capacities of the university - Forming and maintaining cooperation with research, industrial and business partners - Offering professional advice regarding intellectual property protection, managing university intellectual property - Licensing marketable technologies and supporting other utilization methods - Drafting legal agreements, conducting negotiations - Raising the innovation awareness of university citizens - Supporting the development of the local economy
