The Mastodon Fair, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is the largest combined art and science fair in the U.S. We support Kindergarten through 12th grade students, teachers, and parents/guardians. Our participants come from public, private and home schools in an eighteen (18) county region. Any students may register. Those middle and high school students who wish to qualify and move to the national level in the science division only, must be from one of the following counties: Brown, IL; Callaway, MO; Crawford, MO; Dent, MO; Franklin, MO; Gasconade, MO; Jackson, IL; Jefferson, MO; Maries, MO; Osage, MO; Perry, IL; Phelps, MO; Randolph, IL; Union, IL; St. Francois, MO (Art Only); Ste. Genevieve, MO (Art Only); St. Louis, MO (Art Only); & Washington, MO. Teachers, parents, and guardians are invited to submit project registrations. Participants may have one art and/or science project submitted into the competitive annual fair each March at Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Missouri. Students and teachers win prizes, trips, and scholarships. We hope to help students achieve the goal of submitting creative and innovative science and art exhibits that will help to further their education and inspire creativity. With the help of sponsorships and donations, we assist with sending the top science students on to compete at international level events such as the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) and Broadcom MASTERS. We hope that by participating in our various offered events and activities, students will be inspired to strive for knowledge and apply that knowledge throughout their lives to benefit themselves and their communities.
