Starting with an exclusive partnership with MF Husain’s estate (The estate also has presence as a founding member of this Hefty vertical) we have built our art ecosystem with tie ups in the world of sculptors other than painters (Arzan Khambatta being the first of many) and cartoonists (starting with RK Laxman). Each legendary drop starts with a meticulously built narrative. With a partnership with the world renowned Sotheby’s in place, our first drop will happen at one Sotheby’s’ most prestigious live auctions; and will represent a historic sale seeing as it is the first time a ‘phygital sale’ of this proportion is happening for an Indian Artist. It is also their first tie up with an Indian Web 3.0 company. We have curators who are the gatekeepers of our community, and Hefty Art facilitates collaborative drops between the Artists and Curators, building off of our problem statement that content is not scarce, though quality content certainly is. Our curators will each have their own personalised gallery on our platform and will have the freedom to onboard creators of their choice for periodic drops which may take the form of auctions, NFT mints or special Hefty showcases. This marketplace will be both socially conscious and building towards an immersive open metaverse experience (a 3D rendition of our Curator’s Galleries) for both collectors and creators. Hefty marries the traditional and digitally native Art world with the unlikely combination of Owais Husain (the Husain Foundation) and Anand Venkteswaran (Twobadour) driving our platform.
