Eco Friends is Sri Lanka's first on-demand, a mobile platform that facilitates a sustainable waste management solution to the country. It aims to educate users on the benefits of recycling, facilitates the submission of waste for recycling and ultimately rewards the app users. The app connects both households and enterprises to recyclers. Our vision is to enable convenient recycling for all households and corporate institutes. Our aim is to serve as a fulfillment facilitator linking domestics and corporate institutes to local recyclers for their day to day waste disposal effectively. Submission of recyclable waste is made easy through the app, where users simply enter the waste type and quantity of waste available. Following this, Eco Friends will dispatch a pickup a 7-day time frame using a location-based user identification. Eco Friends rewards each and every waste contributor with eco points according to each waste category collected (glass, plastic, paper, e-waste, metal).
