De Montfort Capital
www.demontfortcapital.comDe Montfort Capital was founded in 2013 by Jonathan De Montfort, with a specialist focus on investments in disruptive businesses, from start-up to well established, ranging from blockchain to social media platforms (e.g. www.minds.com). Jonathan started trading the US500 on his own personal account in 2001 and very quickly realised that using computers was the best and most scientific way to isolate opportunities in the markets. This led to the creation of his first few trading models, some of which continue to be used today. In 2004, Jonathan started his career in the City, working for companies such as Lehman Brothers, Millennium Capital and Goldman Sachs, combining traditional economic and portfolio analysis with cutting edge technology in trading. Having left Goldman Sachs in 2013, Jonathan set up De Montfort Capital. Maintaining his own trading style, he quickly established De Montfort Capital as a successful hedge fund company. When he’s not trading, Jonathan is a keen writer and novelist, and recently had his first book, ‘Turner’, published. It was Jonathan’s experience of writing and publishing a novel that led him to set up De Montfort Literature. Taking the same methodology and technology used in hedge fund management and applying it to literature, the aim of De Montfort Literature is to provide an alternative to the traditional publishing routes and in doing so find and create more best-selling novelists.
