Concern for the Girl Child is a Child focused Non-Government Organization that was founded in 2001 by Dr. Ann F. Hayes and Freddie Henry Kasozi (R.I.P). The organization was founded with the main aim of empowering the vulnerable girl child through the provision of access to Education, health information and child protection by lobbying and advocating for the rights of children at all levels. Together with the community, schools and families, CGC has soldiered on in this work and so far, 1000 girls and their families in the communities of Luwero, Nakaseke and Kampala, specifically in Nakawa Division have been impacted. CGC has since expanded both in geographical and programme scope and this can only be attributed to its ability to partner with and work hand in hand with Civil Society Organizations that are like-minded, Funding Agencies that are aligned to our values and vision, local governments that have given us the mandate to implement on their behalf and the communities that have so willingly cooperated.
