BOSWORTH ACADEMY is an 11-19 age range secondary school located in the village of Desford in west Leicestershire, England and is a member of the LIFE Multi Academy Trust. Our students strive 'To Learn To Achieve' by committing everyday to the values of the 6 Cs of Character, Collaboration, Creativity, Citizenship, Communication and Critical Thinking. The campus has a full range of facilities including the newly opened 3G pitch, the indoor Sports Dome, indoor swimming pool, The Compass library, drama studio, music studios, science laboratories, Design workshop and ICT Suites, along with purpose-built Maths and MFL blocks. All curriculum areas have specialist teaching spaces which are used to enhance learning. The school opened in 1969 as Bosworth Community College, replacing the former Grammar School located in Market Bosworth. In 2003, the College was designated as a Specialist Sports College and became an Academy on April 1st 2012. Since its beginning, Bosworth Academy has been a mixed comprehensive upper school catering for the 14-19 age range. In September 2014, the Academy began the transition to becoming an 11-19 school where we are proud to see the students develop from the Laureates in Key Stage Three, Years 10 and 11 in Key Stage Four, through to the Oaks Sixth Form and beyond.
