Who OR is an organization that partners with chaplains to strengthen and sustain military families. OR is unique because strong partnerships with embedded chaplains ensure an ongoing impact. OR helps chaplains accelerate relationship building, establish trust and address spiritual and emotional issues. Why Since 2001, the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of servicemen and their families have skyrocketed. Between deployments and trainings, many within the military are away from home at least six months out of the year. The divorce rate in the Special Operations groups we work with is over 70%. 20 veterans commit suicide each day. The risk of suicide is 21% higher for veterans than for the civilian population.
