Spartan Records is an independent record label located in Seattle, WA founded by John T. Frazier. Prior to taking Spartan full-time in early 2013, Frazier directed marketing efforts at Tooth & Nail/Solid State Records and played an important role in the careers of bands like Underoath, Anberlin, mewithoutYou, As Cities Burn, Norma Jean, and Mae to name a few. Prior to that, he headed up marketing at Drive-Thru Records and worked with bands like The Starting Line, Finch, New Found Glory, and Something Corporate. He started his career at crank! A RECORD COMPANY working with bands like Mineral, the Gloria Record, and others. Currently home to Mountain Time, Unwed Sailor, Giants Chair, Assertion, Man Mountain, and many others, our goal is to help artists create and share their art - and through that process, we hope to help facilitate "moments" that transcend everything that divides us. We believe in the power of music to move us -- to inspire and change lives -- to connect us. Spartan bands have been featured in Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, Billboard, USA Today, Alternative Press, Revolver, Decibel, and American Songwriter among others and heard on NBC, ESPN, ABC Family, MTV, DirecTV, and alongside brands like Quicksilver, Red Bull, Specialized, Billabong, Fox Racing, and more.
