LJ Institute of Management Studies was established in 2001 by Lok Jagruti Kendra, a charitable trust established in 1980 by visionaries like Prof. B. M. Peerzaada, noted economist, Lord Meghnad Desai from London School of Economics, Prof. Gautam Appa from London School of Economics and Padmavibhushan awardee Shri Girish Patel, Senior Jurist. It now runs more than 18 institutes of higher education including engineering, commerce, pharmacy, management, law, architecture and applied sciences. The total student strength of LJ group of institutes is more than 15000. LJMBA is one of the largest GTU affiliated MBA programs in Gujarat with an intake of 498 students. It is approved by All India Council of Technical Education, accredited B++ by NAAC and rated 3 stars (***) by Gujarat State Institutional Rating Framework. LJMBA is the brand name of the MBA program offered by L. J. Institute of Management Studies which has a combined intake of 355 seats (1st shift – 213 seats + 2nd shift – 142 seats) and the MBA programs offered by L J Institute of Computer Applications (72 seats) and L J Institute of Engineering and Technology (71 seats). LJMBA has more than 40 qualified faculty members from which 24 faculty members have Ph.D degrees and another 5 faculty registered for Ph.D. Faculty has rich corporate experience and are from across all states of India. We have faculty members from Kashmir, Haryana, Punjab, UP, Bihar, Orissa, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh. The Institute has a very rich library having more than 20000 books and every year books worth 5-10 lac are added to the library. The Institute has a excellent computer library, canteen and two auditorium of the seating capacity of 250 and 450. The Institute offers three specializations – Finance, Marketing and Human Resource Management. The Institute focuses extensively on building student's knowledge, skills and attitude of students in terms of management, entrepreneurship and innovation.
