Leading Together is a joint INSEAD Alumni Association and International Directors Network initiative, leading a coalition of partner organisations - PLMJ, McKinsey & Company, EURONEXT, INSEAD Gender Initiative, Nova SBE, Odgers Berndston, Fever, WhiteWay, Wisdom Consulting - and individuals, promoting gender balance in business leadership. The initiative originates from Portugal, with a view to rolling out globally addressing unconscious bias and inclusive leadership. Gender diversity yields numerous benefits to organizations, including higher levels of creativity and innovation, greater customer satisfaction, better investment decisions and increased performance. Our mission is threefold. First we aim to inform. By presenting factual data on the proportion of men and women in top leadership positions, in order to expand awareness on the topic. By disclosing the latest research on the challenges that cause the current imbalances, and on what business leaders can do to change it. Secondly, we want to bring business leaders (male and female) to the center of the debate, to further drive change. And thirdly, we want to celebrate the companies and business leaders that are already making significant progress in improving gender balance in top leadership.
