Uva Rayon is the official media club of Uva Wellassa University. Uva Rayon is a registered club in the council of the Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka. The media club was established in Oct. 2015 and at this point it is has become one of an active clubs of the university. Our major objective it to provide free of charge media coverage for all the student activities in Uva Wallassa Unversity. The aims of the club shall be, 1. to encourage and ameliorate the competences of the members in media and to provide fellowship and support for students with similar interests. 2. To develop creativity, critical thinking, ability of appreciation & media criticism among undergraduates. 3. to provide a platform to university students to gain media experience whilst sharpening their talents. 4. to make aware among the university students, about the photography, videography, journalism and other related fields. 5. to enhance the reputation of the university by publishing photographs of student related activities on university web site. 6. to serve to the Uva community by providing media coverage. 7. to promote journalism among the university students and motivate them to write newspaper articles.
