The COPM is an outcome measure that aims to promote high quality, occupation-focused, evidence-based, client-centred practice. The COPM was first published in 1991, subsequent to beta-testing. Since that time, it has been the subject of well over 500 articles in peer-reviewed international literature. It has been adopted in Canada and around the world and has been translated into 36 languages. Research continues to explore the COPM and learn more about its use in practice, in research and in administration. There is a COPM website, www.thecopm.ca, comprised of product, user support, COPM News, a learning module, references and other resources. Mission Statement of COPM INC. The COPM supports high quality, client-centred, occupation-based practice. The COPM Inc. exists to promote the effective use and continued development of the COPM and companion products, worldwide.
