School of Concepts

The best of both worlds, quality customized education coupled with giving back to society with love, this is the stance of School of Concepts. We guide young learners, from 18 months to 6 years, on their first steps towards reading, writing and spelling in English, the international language used across the world today. Two central factors set apart our approach to teaching: a locally-adapted curriculum that has proven effective for non-native English speakers and learners with special needs, and our research-based techniques. Our locally-adapted curriculum caters specifically to bi-lingual and non-native speakers of English, who learn English differently from mono-lingual and native speakers of English. Our teaching method draws focus to adult-child interaction and play-based learning with heavily scaffolded lesson materials that deliver concepts to young learners in bite sizes. The curriculum has gone through 5 years of R&D and seen children from various socio-economic backgrounds and learning needs. During the developmental phase, it took its time to prove itself effective for all learners only because the school was founded on a mission - the mission to provide every child with equal opportunities to quality education, regardless rich or poor, learning needs or not. Other than providing excellent education, we also place high regard on easing the lives of other young Singaporeans. We allocate 20% of our resources to empowering underprivileged children, as our measure of success is defined not merely by our profits, but by the lives, we help lift.
