Atlanta based artist Lisa S. Duncan aka Archen as been painting for over thirty years. Her love of portraiture and costume naturally combine to help her create one of a kind images of characters from plays, stories and imagination. From her earliest years reading fairy tales over and over to her degree in Medieval English Literature from Oglethorpe University, her fascination with characters and costumes is deeply ingrained and well researched. Work on both sides of the stage in theatre, film and modeling helped cement her love of dressing up everyone and everything around her. She currently works out of her studio in the Artisan Resource Center in Marietta. With works shown throughout the Southeast, she can be found at many local festivals, whether Medieval, Scottish or Fantasy.
