The Kozolchyk National Law Center (NatLaw) is a non-profit research and legal reform institution affiliated with the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law in Tucson, Arizona. Founded in 1992, NatLaw works closely with the public and private sector entities and developing countries and communities to help micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) thrive through increased access to credit and investment by creating legal frameworks that protect the rights of all parties. NatLaw’s work is composed of four main areas: Commercial law reform & best business and trade practices Access to credit for businesses of all sizes Promotion of alternative dispute resolution Capacity building programs that encourage training & education NatLaw’s projects have taken place in countries all over Latin America, Africa and many other locations in the world and are funded by international and U.S. agencies. Our staff and roster of professionals includes some of the world’s most recognized experts in the area of comparative commercial law and their research covers many substantive areas of commercial and trade law, including: alternative dispute resolution, banking, bankruptcy, business formation and associations, electronic commerce, investment securities, judicial reform and training, securitization, secured transactions and collateral registries, and transportation. As such, we have also developed a strong commitment to education and believe in the power of capacity building programs. These programs include the practical training of professionals, business owners and students in various areas of law.
