The POTOMAC VALLEY THUNDER GIRLS BASKETBALL CLUB (PV Thunder) is a 501c(3) tax-exempt, non-profit organization affiliated with the National Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and member of the Potomac Valley AAU region. Formed in the spring of 2012, the PV Thunder is comprised of young female athletes residing in and around the Bethesda, MD and Washington, DC area. It provides girls the opportunity to develop advanced basketball skills and knowledge, and to play in a very competitive environment. PV Thunder emphasizes player development starting in 3rd grade up through the high school years. Our approach contributed to the development of many top basketball players across the DC-MD-VA area.
