Proactive Action
www.proactiveaction.coAfter the recovery of our Founder and CEO, Emma Parsons' journey with Mental Ill Health in 2013, she has been a mental health advocate. She initially provided individual consultations and coaching for C-Suite Executives and their teams across Australia and the UK. From her own experience as a senior leader and working with C-Suite Executives, she recognised that companies (especially male-dominated workplaces) were increasingly struggling to improve and develop their teams' mental well-being proactively. Resulting in increased unacceptable behaviours, mental and physical injuries, and injury claims. The majority had EAP and Mental First Aiders; however, these are all reactive measures. The problems had already presented themselves, and the most worrying issue she found was that most people she spoke to were unaware they were dealing with excessive stress; it had become the norm for them. This changed the trajectory of Proactive Action. Emma was now on a mission to develop a more proactive system where organisations could use real-time data— and for the first time, have measurable KPI's that would identify underlying issues allowing the leadership team to strengthen areas that need attention with targeted high-impact actions—achieving better results faster. This is how the MindSafe system was born. We believe - that if companies have the right tools and guidance to work proactively, this will reduce the impact of workplace stress, harmful behaviours, injuries and incidents - allowing people to thrive and go home safely to their families.
