The Laboratoire de Conception et Application de Molécules Bioactives was created in 2009. The Unit is under the supervision of the University of Strasbourg and of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique - CNRS. It consists of five teams: BFC Team (Functional Chemical Systems) 3BIO Team (Biovectorisation, Bioconjugation and Biomaterials) Pharmacie Biogalénique Team CNM Team (Molecular Chemistry and Neurobiology) VSAT Team (Vectors – Synthesis, Applications & Toxicology) The research topics of the CAMB laboratory are located at the interface between chemistry and biology and concern the construction of therapeutic chemical tools (cancer, immunity) and theranostic tools. These activities involve the design and synthesis of particulate, carbonaceous, lipid or polymeric vectors, the design of chemical tools for biophysical and molecular study of channel receptors, design of contrast agents for X-ray and fluorescence imaging, search for specific conjugation reactions compatible with the living and activatable in living systems. The UMR teams are made up of researchers, professors, assistant professors, technicians and welcome students from several masters of the University of Strasbourg, from the "École Doctoral des Sciences Chimiques (ED222)" and the "École Doctorale des Sciences de la Vie et de la Santé (ED414)".
