Tandem is a development and social impact consultancy that works with clients across the world to measure, understand, and maximise their effectiveness and impact. Tandem was founded in 2019 by a small group of experienced development practitioners. Our mission is to enable our clients – donors, foundations, investors, and implementers – to drive impact through data, research, learning, and insights. We specialise in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) systems and capabilities. We help clients to build and operate robust MEL systems that not only generate credible evidence of impact (‘proving impact’) but that also provide knowledge and insights that enable continuous improvements in project performance (‘improving impact’). By working in close partnership with our clients we help organisations to fully realise their missions and objectives, and ultimately to deliver real development and social impact where it is needed most.
