Meva Energy is a research-based start-up company developing and commercializing sustainable small-scale CHP plants gasifying residue biomass. In this regards small-scale is referred to as delivering between 1-5 MWe and 2-10 MWth which makes the plants suitable for industrial needs of power and heat. Furhter, Meva´s technology has a unique acceptance of fine fraction biomass, such as saw dust, bark and agricultural residue. Combining the smale-scale feature and the ability to use local by-streams of biomass waste products results in a truly local and circular energy system: no need for long-distance feedstock transports, no energy distribution losses.
