Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge
www.tcwr.orgTurpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that rescues and offers a life-time home for big cats and other dangerous carnivores. Our facility sits on 459 acres of beautiful Ozark mountain property. We are open to the public for guided tours, offer on-site lodging, and care for nearly 100 animals daily. We are USDA Certified rescue facility accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries (GFAS), a founding member of the Big Cat Sanctuary Alliance (BCSA), and a member of the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK). In addition to our rescue mission, we work to educate the public about the plight of big cats in captivity, teach youth about big cats through educational programs, advocate to protect these animals and to educate the next generation of animal caretakers through our world-renown post-graduate internship program. Mission: To provide lifetime refuge for abused and neglected “Big Cats” with emphasis on tigers, lions, leopards, and cougars. Vision: Through public education we work to end the Exotic Animal Trade, making sanctuaries like Turpentine Creek no longer necessary; together, we can preserve and protect these magnificent predators in the wild for our children’s future. OUR COMMITMENT: EDUCATION, PRESERVATION, AND COMPASSION
