www.iatsba.orgOriginally founded in 1984 as the National Transportation Safety Board Bar Association, today’s International Air & Transportation Safety Bar Association (IATSBA) has grown to comprise attorneys from across the United States and other parts of the globe. Many routinely practice before the United States National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Department of Transportation (DOT), and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). While the original focus of the group centered on representation of pilots and aviation businesses in regulatory, certification, and enforcement proceedings, the Association has grown to encompass members who practice extensively in other areas of transportation law to include: accident litigation, mass casualty accident litigation, aviation insurance defense, transportation transactions, aviation and transportation taxation, and business law with a focus on aviation and other transportation enterprises. Membership in the Association is open to practicing attorneys, law students, and other individuals interested in aviation and transportation law.
