www.heneb.co.ukGwynedd Archaeological Trust : Contracts Section is the commercial arm of the Trust and is the first point of contact for all client based archaeological project work. The key aim of the Contracts Section is to provide a comprehensive professional service to all clients who require archaeological work undertaken. We can provide expert advice, and undertake all aspects of archaeological work, from project inception through mitigation to publication. The Contracts Section has played a significant role in all major civil engineering projects within its region. These have included the construction of new roads, including the A55 dual carriageway, improvements to the A470, the A499 and the A489. Other engineering projects include new water and gas pipelines, where the Trust, working closely with the clients and with the archaeological curators, has been able to instigate a much improved method of working, resulting in a more efficient service to the contractor. The Trust has worked closely with the Welsh Government and has provided all archaeological services for the development of two major new business parks within the local area. These have involved the assessment, evaluation and excavation of large areas of land (40 to 50 hectares), the results of which have made a significant contribution to archaeological research within both Wales and the United Kingdom . Services offered include: • Desk-based assessments, including ASIDOHL and DMRBs (Wales) • Setting impact assessments • Geophysical survey • Excavations • Topographic surveys • Building surveys • Watching briefs • Interpretation • Academic publication • Specialist illustration • UAV survey • Environmental sample processing
