www.windsofchange-ed.comWe are Winds of Change, a student run project to design and construct an affordable and efficient local wind turbine within the Edinburgh community. Aims and Objectives: The project will design and build a small-scale wind turbine, to power a local community’s energy needs - this is likely to aid farming in the outskirts of Edinburgh. We expect through this project that our members will have a chance to enhance their student experience in the university and acquire skills that will prove useful to them in the future. We plan to be implementing a complex project, and can showcase this achievement. The community aspect involved in the project allows our participants to become more employable by developing the key soft skills looked for by hiring managers e.g. teamwork, ownership, leadership and communication.
