Emiliano Scatarzi (b. 1973) Professional photographer since 1990. He works in commercial, editorial and social photography, as well as in the video industry. He publishes regularly on Italian newspaper and magazines. Co-founder of FotografiSenzaFrontiere with whom he realized laboratories of photography in Algeria, Palestine and Uganda. As a reporter he worked in Irian Jaya (Indonesia), Mongolia, China, India, Japan, Vietnam. His artistic research, collected in the vast work-in-progress ‘Media-Evo’, is a critical and ironical interpretation of the contemporary world shown in the televisual media. He exhibited his works at the 49th Venice Biennale (2001) and in various sites in Italy and abroad (Innsbruck, Florence, Catania, Venice, Milan, Naples, Rome, Miami). Lives and works in Milan.
