New Haven Promise is a not-for-profit scholarship and support program for college-going students from the City of New Haven, Conn. The initiative — established in 2010 — has helped fund more than 2,000 students with more than $20 million in its first 10 years. The primary funders of the program have been Yale University, the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven and Yale-New Haven Hospital.
