African Women Lawyers Association (AWLA) addresses issues affecting women and children on the African Continent. AWLA acts as Mediators, Counselors, Advocates and aims to Defend the Oppressed. AWLA raises awareness to girls, young women and older women addressing issues relating violence, domestic abuse, child abuse and molestation, sexual abuse and other related issues. AWLA organizes it’s own activities annually in relation to the following events International Women’s Day Children’s Day Day of the African Child International Day of the Girl Child. and is affiliated with several organizations pursing the same goals of protecting women and children.
