Reynolds & Reynolds Electronics, Incorporated was founded in 1989 by Renata and William Reynolds. Its product line - emergency return systems and door controllers - had been designed and developed by Mr. Reynolds specifically for a major elevator manufacturer. The emergency return system was then converted to be compatible with every controller and door operator on the market or in use. Bill Reynolds' passing away in 1992 necessitated a fundamental change in our technical staff. After a two year process, the Company was able to refocus on and continue its efforts to expand the product line. Today, Reynolds and Reynolds Electronics is most known for our Powervator® elevator products including a 3-phase model of the POWERVATOR® emergency power system developed for freight elevators with bi-parting doors. Its compact size, lighter weight and serviceability make this a widely used option on both passenger and freight hydraulic elevators.
