Styrian Technology Park (Štajerski Tehnološki Park) provides business support (infrastructure & services) for regional SMEs in their early stages (incubation), as well as for companies in the phase of development and growth (internationalization activities, development of new products, etc.). STP acts as the Regional Centre for Technological Development in Podravje, pursuing technological (open) innovations in close collaboration with innovative SME's and advanced R&D institutions. Being founded by Maribor Development Agency (MRA, regional development agency) and acting as the only technology park in the Podravje region (and the 1st in Slovenia), it represents an important regional player for provision of support services for companies and collaboration in regional development activities.
