Founded in 1960 by twelve individuals pooling $5 each, ACRES is Indiana’s oldest and largest local land trust. To date, ACRES protects more than 7,300 acres. It’s a good start, but there’s so much more we can do together. Will you join us? More than offering financial support, memberships and personal contributions collectively send a clarion call throughout our region: we value natural places. WHAT IS A NATURE PRESERVE? A nature preserve is a protected place where plants, animals and natural features live and die, in place, for generations, continually contributing to the natural community.
