Groundwork was founded and started in Salem, Oregon by Mountain West Investment Corporation. It started with a simple vision: to help make our community better. From its establishment, Groundwork has cultivated local leadership, building off a model that helps participants find their own answers to achieve results. The program focuses on three main elements: leadership education, mentorship, and real world application. A key tenet of the institute’s mission is shared knowledge; the very leaders who participate in the program eventually become the instructors, returning at different times to share their insight. We are actively building a vast alumni community with shared experiences, knowledge, relationships, and a proven framework for getting things done. Groundwork is here to grow that community and help Salem reach its potential.
