Our aim is to set up the very first international Institute of World Music (IIMM) in the Southern French city of Aubagne and to turn it into a leading-edge centre in terms of education, schooling, research, publication, programming, production and circulation of music. With its educational and cultural actions, the IIMM contributes to developing, transmitting and promoting different kinds of world music. It offers social spaces to meet and exchange ideas in order to favour lasting relationships between women and men which consider their various cultures as being part of the same collective memory.
