Prutul is one of the main producers of vegetable oil and one of the most important companies in the agribusiness industry in Romania. Prutul is also a leading exporter of vegetable sunflower oil from our country and from the South-Eastern Europe. The company owns one vegetable oil factory in Galati county for crushing, refining and bottling vegetable oil. Our commercial offer include crude, refined and bottled sunflower, rapeseed and soybean oil. We produce a complete range of refined sunflower oils: High Oleic (min. 75% oleic acid), Mid Oleic, Conventional (Linoleic). The Prutul Vegetable Oil Factory, founded over 126 years ago, is the factory with the longest tradition in vegetable oil production in Romania (since 1893). Through an extensive investment program in recent years, Prutul has turned its factory into one of the largest and modern vegetable oil factories in Romania and South-Eastern Europe. Prutul has top certifications in the industry (IFS, ISO, FSSC) and important affiliations (FOSFA, GAFTA). We have a vegetable oil terminal with a loading dock at the Danube River, in the Galati Commercial Harbor and we export our products with commercial ship of maximum 6,000 tons sunflower crude oil and 5,000 tons sunflower meal.
