Blue Heron is a historic home located on the North Shore of Lake Pontchartrain, just 45 minutes from New Orleans. We are conveniently located on the main street through Old Mandeville within walking distance of all the local hotspots, including the lakefront, Tammany Trace, Dew Drop Jazz and Social Hall, the Pontchartrain Yacht Club, restaurants, shops, farmers markets and more. Since opening in 2016, Blue Heron has twice been recognized as the Best B&B on the Northshore by Sophisticated Woman Magazine and Edge of the Lake Magazine. Blue Heron has two luxurious guest suites, each with a king size bed, private bath, dining area, refrigerator, microwave, coffee service, and essential oil diffuser. Each suite is accessed by its own entrance from a large porch that overlooks the property's gardens. Guests can relax on their private porch area with rocking chairs, dining table and daybed, and outdoor curtains for additional privacy. Breakfast is fully stocked in the rooms each afternoon so that guests can wake and dine at their leisure in the morning - either in their suite or on the porch. Breakfast consists of fresh pastries, quiche, fruit, coffee, tea, juice, milk and more.
