Refugee Aware is a charity organisation that seeks to offer education towards creating an in-depth understanding of the global refugee situation. We hope by this to change misconceptions surrounding or foster a better appreciation of the state of being a refugee. Most of what we know about refugees come from what we see on TV or read in newspapers and magazines. These sometimes leave us with mixed feelings and inform our attitude towards these unfortunates of the world. There is therefore the need to look beyond the TV and newspaper reports in order to foster an appreciation of refugees as well as factors that create the state of being a refugee.
