Micro Digital

Micro Digital is the developer of SMX RTOS and SecureSMX. Founded in 1975, it was one of the first embedded systems software companies. Initially, it was an engineering company, providing hardware and software design services to OEMs. After many years, the company transitioned into an embedded software product developer. Throughout its history, Micro Digital has been dedicated to providing high-quality services and developing excellent products. This has been done with our customers' needs in mind, and with emphasis on quality, support, and documentation. After focusing for many years on the functional capabilities of SMX, the priority changed to security. SecureSMX, our next generation RTOS, was the result of several years of development to solve the security problem for microcontroller-based embedded systems. It uses the Cortex-M Memory Protection Unit (MPU) to enable partitioning embedded software into isolated partitions so that hacker invasions are limited in scope and cannot reach vital information such as sensitive data, keys, passwords, etc., nor access code or I/O in other partitions.
