www.citylabacademy.nlEindhoven demonstrated the concept of a LivingLab in December 2013, during the Light Art Festival Glow. LivingLab Stratumseind 2.0 was established in 2012, in collaboration with ATOS, Axis, ViNotion, Sorama, Philips Lighting (now Signify) and others. LivingLab Stratumseind became one of the original development centers of the Dutch Institute for Technology Safety and Security (DITSS). Since then many national and international visits have been welcomed, among others from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Porto, Microsoft, Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, Based on an international benchmark and quantitative research of LivingLabs on Eindhoven (Mol, Khan et. al., 2015), a groundbreaking implementation on the context broker of the Fiware reference architecture was realized. The software was made available, in cooperation with ATOS, as the Smart City StarterK!t. Since then, we have shared it knowledge through the Dutch standardization organization NEN, the SynchroniCity project, the Light Art Festival organization LUCI, the Dutch association of municipalities VNG, the Swedish association of municipalities and regions (SKR,) and the OASC minimal interoperability mechanisms (MIMs). We are now looking at how citizens and business can benefit from a city becoming smart. We explore Smart Urbanization, Smart Leisure, Smart Sports and Smart Health. We are open to partnerships and eager to collaborate!
