The My College Guru (Pre-Collegiate Mentorship Program's) mission is to recruit students to study in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math fields known as STEM. The My College Guru (Pre-Collegiate Mentorship Program) pairs high-achieving and often overlooked students with successful college students (gurus) and solves the problem of low-income and minority students being needed in the STEM pipeline as well as minorities being underrepresented in STEM jobs. The mission has expanded to foster an encouragement in students to become public servants and leaders in their communities.
