Dalian Polytechnic University, formerly known as Dalian Institute of Light Industry, is the key construction university of Liaoning Province, “Excellence Plan” and “2011 Plan”, and the first batch of pilot universities for the reform of agricultural and forestry personnel education and training plan. Founded in 1958, the school was one of the first four light industry colleges established in China. It was originally affiliated to the Ministry of Light Industry and was placed under the administration of Liaoning Province in 1998.
