We train people and provide a consultancy service in upholstery skills - both traditional craft and modern techniques. We provide three different types of training: 1. Qualification Courses – for students training to achieve the industry recognised qualifications. These students may wish to set up their own business; expand their current skill set to complement their current job; or change career direction; 2. Leisure Classes – for students who wish to learn new skills as a hobby or for their own personal use. Leisure courses can be anything from one day tasters to up to ten days when students can make their own chaise longue; and 3. Bespoke and Tailor Made Courses - for individual clients, for example furniture manufacturers. Upholstery Skills Centre is an Approved Training Centre to deliver the Association of Master Upholsterers & Soft Furnishers (AMUSF) Qualification Courses - please see Images 1 to 5. We are proud to be the only Approved Training Centre in Essex and one of only thirteen in the UK.
