Green Tara Nepal, a non-governmental, apolitical and non-profit making non-governmental organization, established in 2007, has been working in the field of maternal and child health. It works in research, publications, advocacy, training and social mobilization in a holistic community development approach. It is the result of the efforts of Nepalese public health and community development professionals, who are committed to improve health, livelihood and socio-economic status of the Nepalese people and facilitate their integration in national development. Green Tara Nepal aims to bridge the gap between rural and urban, rich and poor and men and women in accessing services and improving healthy behaviours through community development and health promotion approach. It believes that happiness of the life depends on better care of the health of the community people and the environment, which will only be possible through a sustainable human society. Sustainable and self-reliant society can be achieved through “Health with all” philosophy, principle and ethics.
