TREDCO FOR ENGINEERING INDUSTRIES It is considered to be the latest member of El Sayad Group and the second industrial arm of the mother corporation. Its main activity is the production of a variety of home appliances under the brand name PASSAP. It started production in 1999 by manufacturing two models of refrigerators of the auto-defrost type. Nowadays and in this short time period, TREDCO succeeded in introducing to the market more than 25 products that vary from refrigerators, deep freezers, washing machines, to gas cookers and gas water heaters. In order to meet market demands, TREDCO constantly adds to its range of products what it sees necessary. What has paved the way for the success of this newly introduced product and its acquiring of a satisfactory market share beside the other well-established brand names, is the company quality policy which has been passed on to all workers in the factory. Over the years, TREDCO has managed to hold on to a difficult but overconfident equation of high quality products with a competitive price. The quality was assured by gaining the experience and technical interchange from Switzerland whose people are well known for their precision and accuracy. Price was made feasible by reducing the overhead expanses and widens the local manufacturing of most of the parts. In fact, more than 90% of the components used in the manufacturing of PASSAP products are locally made and provided by Egyptian suppliers. In the year 2003, TREDCO was certified by Electrolux International Corporation to produce Chest Freezers under brand name Kelvinator which will be serving the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. TREDCO Egypt is the only factory in the Middle-East that succeeded in receiving such a license from Electrolux Corporation.
