Long Point Region Conservation Authority owns more than 10,930 acres (4,425 ha) of conservation lands, including five campgrounds that attract thousands of visitors each year, trails, a National Historic Site and plenty of places to enjoy nature or have a picnic. This network of conservation lands helps protect natural features within the watershed while maintaining outdoor spaces for anyone to enjoy. LPRCA also offers planning and permitting services as mandated by the provincial government. In doing so, the Authority helps protect people and property from natural hazards such as flooding and erosion.
