IFA - International Flight Academy, is an Authorized Training Organization (ATO), providing all training needs for Flight and Cabin Crew. IFA's ATO is currently certified for Portugal and Cape Verde. Our training center is certified for type ratings in B737, B757/767, B777, A320, Hawker 900XP and ATR42/72. IFA has type rated more than 700 pilots in the last 20 years. The organization also provides consulting for pilots trying to convert licenses (ICAO, FAA and EASA). We cover a wide range of courses from Ab Initio, Integrated ATPL, Modular ATPL, Distance learning ATPL, Type Ratings, cabin crew training, type rating revalidation/renewal and recurrent training. IFA can also develop tailored training according to customer’s needs. IFA headquarters are next to Cascais Municipal Aerodrome, Portugal, 20km west of Lisbon center, 15km from Sintra - UNESCO World Heritage Site and 10 minutes distance from the lovely coast of Cascais, the Charm of the Atlantic Coast, with lovely white sand beaches, unique seafood and around 300 sunny days per year. We also have facilities in Viseu Municipal Aerodrome to provide training for the centre and north of Portugal, acting as an international beacon. Our team of fully certified professionals, with a strong knowledge and experience, strive to perpetuate IFA founder’s work and vision, when back in 1997 with his large experience, gathered the best professionals in several different areas and started his own training center, passing on to a new generation of pilots, his lifetime aviation knowledge and profound technical expertise. Since then, IFA has trained pilots in various types from all over Europe, Asia and Africa, most of them now pilots in command, as well as more than 1200 Cabin Crew members, some of those are now Senior Flight Attendants.
