To introduce students to scientific thinking and research and to enable them to make their own contribution is an important and demanding social task that deserves to be pursued with a high degree of professionalism. With this in mind, the Technische Universität München is committed to bridging excellent research and teaching: Teaching at the pulse of science. The central scientific institution ProLehre | Media und Didactic helps teachers at the Technical University of Munich to meet these high demands. To do so, we combine scientific findings from teaching and learning research with the empirical knowledge of university lecturers and the design possibilities opened up by educational technologies and digitization. We advise instructors about their opportunities to develop personally, their team or their courses.
